So proud of Gov. Andrus AND Lisa E. Sánchez! She has followed his instructions, and today she is running for Boise City Council. Rock on, Lisa!
Holli, Lisa, and Naomi have such passion for our city, along with knowledge and experience. Boise friends, election day is November 7th... put it on your calendar and let's help these 3 incredible women get elected!
Lisa comes with high praise from from those who know her. Wish I lived in Boise so that I could cast my vote for Lisa! She will put her heart and soul into the City Council position!
I've known Lisa E. Sánchez (mi hermanita) since she was a university student. And, I can honestly say that her career over 25+ years has been nothing but sincerely and genuinely serving the people of Boise, the Treasure Valley and Idaho. She is measured in her response to things, yet impactful. Please vote.
I am so excited for my dear friend Lisa E. Sánchez. Yesterday, she accepted a special commendation to her mother Janie Ortiz from Governor Otter, in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. Lisa and I met in college and over the years I’ve heard countless stories of service where Janie dropped everything to help yet another person. Lisa learned from the best, as she was raised by a single mom who worked tirelessly for our community and helped many people. It seems especially appropriate to receive such an honor as Lisa is in the midst of a campaign running for Boise City Council. She has a strong legacy ahead of her and will be a voice for individuals who dare not speak up. You can count on her to address challenging issues and look out for our entire community. She has my vote, I encourage you to also consider giving your support.
A first for me! I joined the enthusiastic team of volunteers going door to door letting them know Lisa E. Sánchez is running for City Council. It's easy when you believe in your candidate!
This morning my family and I went to support our beautiful sister Lisa E. Sánchez. She is running for city council and I couldn't be more excited and proud of her! If you're wanting someone in office that will work and fight for you, that aligns herself with equality for ALL, loves mother earth and believes in saving her, true justice, the betterment of humanity as a whole, etc. etc. etc then I highly recommend you voting for her!!!
I've not been as excited by a slate of City Council candidates maybe ever. Great progressive voices dedicated to and engaged in the community they ask to represent. Naomi Johnson, Caleb Hansen, and Lisa E. Sánchez. Our City Council sets the course of the city. It manages how we grow, what is preserved, and whose lives or voices matter every week. These three are not politicians but engaged people who care about and will work for us. They'll work for the vast and brilliant array of human beings that are Boise.
I'm pretty thrilled to endorse Lisa E. Sánchez for Boise City Council. I'd love to see more women of color at the political table, especially passionate smart ones from Burley, Idaho. She comes from a line of female changemakers and challenges the status quo in important ways. Looking forward to voting Lisa Sánchez for Boise City Council in November!
Lisa Sánchez is poised to become the first Latina Boise City Council member. Her experience in leadership, passion for making Boise a great place to live for all, her dedication to the arts, her commitment to representation and equality make her an outstanding choice for this position. Join me in supporting Lisa's campaign and allowing Boise to reap the benefits of her talents.
I am very excited for Lisa E. Sánchez and her campaign for Boise City Council. She will work to make Boise the most livable city in America by targeting smart growth while championing all Boiseans. Her public service record, demonstrated leadership and character are unquestionable.
I am proud to endorse my BSU Bronco sister, Lisa E. Sánchez for Boise City Council! Please help to make history by electing the first Latina to the Boise City Council! Lisa has worked hard on behalf of our community for many years. She will be an important voice for us on the council. Please join me in supporting this longtime community activist and leader!
I am proud to offer my endorsement of Lisa E. Sánchez. I have known Lisa for close to 10 years but since we come from the same small area of Southern Idaho, I feel like I’ve known her all my life. Lisa is from Burley, Idaho, a small railroad/cow town and the jewel of the Magic Valley. I know the place she comes from because it’s where I am from as well, where I grew up knowing the struggles she faced, the struggles she has overcome to graduate from Burley High School, to attend Boise State as the first in her family to go on to college, to become the first Latina Student Body Officer in Boise State University’s history. I know her dedication to her people, to her community and more importantly to the people of Boise. She is wholly approachable and willing to listen. I feel that Lisa is right for Boise; it is time for her to be the first Latina council member elected to the Boise City Council. I hope that you will help make history by voting for Lisa E. Sanchez for City Council.
Great message of inclusion and support! For those in our community who want someone who will keep their door open and include the many voices from all corners of our community, consider Lisa Sánchez for city council. –Tim Flaherty Lisa Sánchez exhibits exemplary leadership and is up to the task of taking Boise City Council to the next level. She brings with her a dynamic and vast skill set, wisdom and integrity. –Chelsea Gaona Lincoln Loved hearing Lisa speak and answer questions at the Idaho Moms for a Brighter Future panel last night! She'll be an excellent addition to city council. –Hayley Anderson I am proud to offer my endorsement to a wonderful leader that I am proud to call a friend. I am a firm believer in what Tip O'Neill once said, "all politics is local" We need good leadership that is ethical, effective, progressive and believes in leadership as service at all levels. Lisa E. Sánchez is such a leader and as a member of our Boise City Council I know she will help lead Boise in a direction that is the example our shining capitol city needs to be.
Some time ago, before the death of my dear Gram, I talked with my wonderful friend, Lisa E. Sánchez, about this picture, and how much fun we had driving the Helmet around campus! In this picture, I was running for re-election as Boise State’s first openly-gay student body president (a campaign in which I was successful!) and now, as I share the photo, again, Lisa is running for election as Boise’s first Latina candidate for City Council! As I was, then, it is my sincerest hope that she be successful in her campaign, and become our city’s first Latina ON the City Council! Through my experiences at Boise State, my love for our City and community, and the, many, wonderful women in my life, I gained a life-long love of service. I know that Lisa shares this same love, cultivated through her own experience at Boise State, within our city and community, and from the amazing women, mostly her mother, in her own life. Lisa is running for seat 2 on the Boise City Council, and, though I can no longer vote for the representation of our city, it would mean a great deal to me if my friends in Boise would honor Lisa with their votes! Lisa cares about our city, and the people who live there. She values justice and equal treatment for all! She wants to Add the Words! She will make a fabulous city councilor.
